Who is Kometman?

Welcome back Komets! Have you ever wondered who Kometman is or where he came from? Read the article below to learn more about our head-turning mascot.

When first seeing the title, you might already think you know the answer. “Why, he's

Kearny’s beloved mascot of course!” And you would be right. But let's think deeper. Who is this strange man? How did he get here? What is his motivation? Does he own an ASB card? The last question is completely irrelevant, but the others are all important questions we must ask ourselves. To sate our curiosity and yours, we here at the galaxy sent our reliable reporters to dig up whatever they could on the mysterious mascot.

According to ASB historian Snow Nguyen, Komet Man first appeared (add image here)

in the 1994 Kearny yearbook. The mascot looked quite different back then, and has gone

through many changes leading to the modern day. Now that we know WHEN he came to

Kearny, we must ask ourselves HOW he came to Kearny. Through interviews around campus,

multiple stories about Komet Mans's origins have been found: Some say he appeared from an alien ship. Others, he fell from the sky in a meteor shower. A few outspoken insane people say just a normal person in a suit.
