A New and Exciting Club Just Hit Kearny! Join SAAC

Welcome back Komets! Are you an athlete and looking for a new club to join? You're in luck! A new club just started at Kearny and they want you to join. Learn about SAAC!!

Kearny is launching its own Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). This group is designed to empower student-athletes and give them a voice in sports and academics. The council will act as a liaison between the student-athletes, the CIF athletic department, and the school administration. Through SAAC, student-athletes will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, propose changes, and work on initiatives that improve the overall student-athlete experience at the school while working closely with the Athletic Director, Coach Saches.

The council plans to meet on Wednesdays twice a month at lunch in room B21, and all student-athletes are welcome to bring their ideas or concerns to the group. Stop by one of the meetings and say Hi to SAAC President Aryah Palms, who is a DMD Senior and would love to hear from you. SAAC will be an essential resource for both athletes and the school, creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all. Keep an eye out for SAAC’s upcoming initiatives and events – this is just the beginning of what’s sure to be a game-changing addition to Komet Sports!
